If you read my last post, you learned I’m on a journey. A self love journey, I suppose. Even to say that out loud makes me cringe. Long way to go.
Today though, this question stopped me in my tracks. And I want to ask you the same..
“Why do you want to be pretty?”
Maybe your answer is some enlightened and wise response that I haven’t even thought of because I’m too far gone. If that’s you, perhaps the rest of this is wildly irrelevant. But I have to confess, every reason that popped into my head and I jotted down… I followed with: “this is the dumbest answer ever.”
Does this mean what I think it means?—That the pursuit of physical affirmation is pointless? And there is no substantial reason for me to desire beauty? Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah. 👇🏽
